Challenging training lies at the very heart of the British Army’s approach to personal and professional development. Leadership through The Atlantic (LTTA) is a year long ocean sailing expedition and an integral part of The British Army Antarctic Expedition (BAAE). Its intent is to provide leadership training and personal development to all participants.

Partaking in this unique and demanding experience is an opportunity of a life time which will develop amongst other qualities, self-awareness and confidence, thus encouraging young men and women to face the future with self belief. Activities such as these foster team spirit and cohesion which are essential components of life in the Army.
